Here are some of the activities I’ve been working on recently:
- Villanova Faculty Congress Chair, 2022-2024
- Villanova Faculty Congress Secretary, 2020-2022
- DREAMS Program – Co-organizer, with Drs. Alexander Diaz-Lopez, Nathan Corwin, Vikram Kamat, and Yimin Zhang
- Mathematical communities development committee (math and stat major first year seminar)
- Faculty co-advisor for Villanova AWM Student Chapter (with Dr. Katie Muller)
- Math Circles: I facilitated a meeting of the Philadelphia Area Math Teachers’ Circle and wrote an article about it in the MTCircular Newsletter (the Winter/Spring 2016 issue). The problem is about counting the number of pancake flips to rearrange a stack.
- I started (with Beth Malmskog) the Graterford Math Circle, at the State Correctional Institute at Graterford (now SCI Phoenix).
- Villanova Presidential Scholarship Committee – CLAS (Sciences), 2017-2020
- Mastery-based testing project: I worked with some Project NExT colleagues on the implementation of mastery-based testing in undergraduate math courses. We made a blog (not often updated, but there are some good resources!) with more details: https://mbtmath.wordpress.com/
- I am an MAA Project NExT fellow (2014-2015 cohort)
